Introducing
IDEAS (Intentionally Designed Expandable Architectural Structures) is an innovative architectural design contest inviting designers, students, and professionals to explore sustainable, expandable home designs. This contest focuses on creating structures that grow intentionally with families, meeting their evolving needs while minimizing environmental impact.
Contest Objectives
Participants will create designs that:

Begin as compact, efficient 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom homes.

Expand to include 3 and eventually 4 bedrooms with 3-4 bathrooms.

May incorporate a section that transforms into an independent 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom, and Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) with minimal modifications.
